SoundTap is an audio recording program which specialises in recording streaming audio such as internet radio, webcasts and VoIP conversations conducted with softphones like Express Talk or Skype. What sets SoundTap apart from other recorders is that SoundTap records streaming audio in perfect digital quality. Most other recorders which are able to record streaming audio will do so using your sound card which requires a digital to analog to digital conversion. This means a loss of audio quality. SoundTap is a virtual sound device and records audio streams with perfect digital quality. If you are receiving a 16bit audio stream at 96kbps, then SoundTap will record it at 16bits and 96kbps - no loss of quality.
